Open Door Senior Center Advisory Board

The Advisory Board Council is comprised of three (03) Program participants elected by the other participants and approved by the City of Carlin Council, a representative of the Carlin City Council and a Carlin resident appointed by the Carlin City Council.
The general function of the Advisory Board shall be to provide advice to the Carlin Senior Center via the Administrator concerning the operation of the Carlin Open Door Senior Center and to assist the City of Carlin and the Center Director with policy decisions related to the grant programs.
Scheduled meetings for the Advisory Council shall be in compliance with the Nevada Open Meeting Laws (NRS 241). All transactions will be recorded and maintained throughout the grant funding period. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00a.m. at 320 Chestnut Street. All are invited to attend.
The Current Board Members are: Marie Carpenter-President, Ruth Ann Micheli–Vice President, Rhonda Simpkins-Secretary/Treasurer, Judy Bradshaw, Roberta Spence, Larraine Weaver & Donnetta Skinner-City Council Liaison.
Parks and Recreation Board

The Carlin Parks and Recreation Board is appointed by the Carlin City Council from letters of interest submitted by volunteer citizens of the community. The Board is designed to consist of seven (07) members, which all must be bona fide residents of the City of Carlin. The Parks and Recreation Board meets the second Thursday of each month at the Carlin City Hall at 7:00 p.m. The Board holds events and raises money for new equipment for the Carlin City Park.
The Current Board Members are: Keith Fertig-Chairman, Tonya Roland-Vice Chairman, Erlene Bergwall, Mike Simpson, Jody Hensley, Ted Hensley, and Lee Griswold, City Council Liaison.
Planning Commission

The Carlin Planning Commission is appointed by the Carlin City Council from letters of interest submitted by volunteer citizens of the community. The Commission is designed to consist of seven (07) members, which all must be bona fide residents of the City of Carlin. The Planning Commission meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Carlin City Hall at 6:00 p.m. The Planning Commission reviews and submits recommendations to the Carlin City Council for special use permits, variance requests, planned development, zoning issues and other non-conforming uses. The Planning Commission coordinates with county and regional planning agencies for a well developed community.
The Current Commission Members are: David Jones-Chairman, Virginia DeVoe, Karla Jones, Anna Dean, Timothy Gray and Lincoln Litchfield -City Council Liaison.
